Marian Apparitions – Which Ones are Fakes?

December 12, 2010

Correct answer none of them are the real Mary. However, the Catholic Church helps the faithful figure out which ones are authentic (i.e. Satanic) messages and which ones are just shams. Marian apologist Mark Shea discusses what he considers the phony apparitions at Medjugorge vs. the “real” ones in Wisconsin that have just been declared authentic.

Back in the latter seventies when I was processing out of Roman Catholicism, I met a woman who claimed to have had a vision of Mary in the hospital room where her husband lay dying. She was quite well known in our church for this. The “Mary” apparition had apparently offered this woman “gold rosary beads,” but the woman refused them–and then regretted it greatly. I met up with the woman in the back of church after Mass one night, noticing that all she ever did was pray the Rosary nonstop and gaze upward as if in some kind of a trance. I chatted with her about her spiritual experience. I wrote about it here.

Since I left the church completely shortly after that, I don’t know what happen to her, but I hope she eventually found some real solace….

All ‘Marian’ activities are fake. The real Mary never appeared to anyone. She is not a god. The one who can do apparitions are the bad angels. They were thrown here on earth. Read the book of Enoch.

Acts 1 says Jesus will return the same way He ascended back into heaven.
It doesn’t say anything about Mary’s assumption nor about her returning to earth.
