Graduating from RTS as a Catholic

June 8, 2011

An interesting post from Jeremy Tate, a recent graduate of RTS-DC at Called to Communion, which is a blog for ex-reformed Christians that have crossed the Tiber to Rome. How should one react when the youth pastor at your PCA church tells the congregation that he has converted to Roman Catholicism?

Considering the PCA, why would anyone be surprised in the slightest? And why was this guy not expelled from RTS?

      Hi Randall.

Having been a member of a large PCA church for a good portion of my Christian life, it does grieve me to see the denomination on the downgrade. Concerning RTS, I enrolled back in 1997, only to be confronted with supporters and participants of ECT. As a former Catholic, I was quite amazed how any evangelical, let alone seminary professors, could enter into agreement with Roman Catholics on essential doctrine.

      Thanks for your comment.
